The Vilnius Museum collects, stores and studies historical and contemporary artefacts connected with the city, presenting them to the public in the form of high-quality and meaningful exhibitions.
The Museum collects items relating to the fabric, the people and events in Vilnius. It is happy to accept gifts of artefacts from individuals and institutions that are relevant to the history and the culture of the city, if they meet the criteria laid out in the collection policy (the policy will soon be made available).
The Museum invites residents to contribute to the collection! Would you like to donate a company badge from a Vilnius company, a book about Vilnius, an old handle from the door of your apartment building, or something else that tells an interesting story about the city? If so, contact us!
